After a fantastic Italian meal last night with Dans friend Dipesh, which consisted of many tasty cocktails and some great food, we both headed home early for a better nights sleep than the night before.
Day 3 –
Much scuttling in the night and a Pringle trap confirmed our suspicions that there was definitely a mouse or some rodent sharing our apartment with us, we slept through it, but after discovering that the mouse had an underwear fetish and had nibbled threw Evie’s fave pink knickers, we decided to call the owners and get them to sort the issue. They thankfully agreed to refund us some money and exterminate Mickey as long as we didn’t leave a bad review! Fine with us as tight travellers, free money whoop!!
Once our bags were packed, we decided to celebrate by drinking…. Again! When in Rome! This was fine with me and it was happy hour so it would be rude not to have a 55oz cocktail at lunch. Evie wasn’t feeling great, so whilst I watched the mighty Tottenham beat Qarabag, she went and lay on the beach in the elusive sunshine.
I joined her after the footie and we frolicked in the sea playing with our GoPro. When we went back to Dan and Aishley, they were onto there next giant cocktail so we decided to join them and have a massive Mojito between us.
By the time we got back to the apartment Dan had arranged for us to stay in tonight, Aishley was ready for bed (5pm) so Evie and I took a walk to get us all take-out (American for take-away). Thanksgiving dinner consisted of Pizza and Sushi, just like the pilgrims ate all those years ago!!
Day 4-
4:30am alarm and we were on our way to Miami airport, Dan and Aishley were off to Orlando Universal Studios, so they dropped us off on the way and we said another farewell. A goodbye to windy and rainy Miami for our long journey to San Francisco.
Our first flight went to Houston – Texas, it was a pretty smooth flight with United airlines and neither of us cried at the end of Pitch Perfect 2 …. We had a 2 hour stopover before our next flight to San Fran.
Sue and Tom were there to greet us and take us to their house in Sonora, 2 and a half hours east in the Sierra Nevada. It was a nice drive with a great sunset behind us, the temperature is a lot colder here but nice and sunny. Evie’s Granny was there to greet us with Brodie the cat at her side.
We had lots of great homemade food, some champagne, a few beers and were in bed by 9 o’clock, asleep at 9:01, well they are another 3 hours behind so we can blame it on jet lag!

No prizes for spotting the spelling mistake – Granny How !!
